  1. Greetings, DeathBlade! First of all, thanks for the Kindle version of AWE. I read AWE as my 2nd ErGen novel after Renegade Immortal, though I did pick up ISSTH but someone said read AWE first then ISSTH but it's been more than two years then and I'm still stuck in AWE, haha. I would love to read AWE from zero again though Kindle. Now then, I have some questions for you, some related to BTT, and some miscellaneous. 1. Can we expect to get BTT's Kindle version in future? 2. Okay, so I kind of have this question since the start of BTT so the question is, "Did any of ErGen's protagonist or supporting character from other novel made an appearance till now in BTT? Like Situ Nan in ISSTH?" 3. Did you read Renegade Immortal? 4. Favorite moment in BTT, AWE, ISSTH? 5. How many words do you churn out every day? What's your highest? 6. Recommend a novel, movie, or TV show. 7. Lastly, tell a joke. Thanks!
  2. Greetings Etvolare, I've been reading NECRO and loved your TL. So, now say what's so different about Star Gate that helped it to climb #1 and #2 in Qidian's reader index. Oh, also I've read the first few chapters of SG in Webnovel but because of its all MTL I deeply felt saddened to not get read this story for which I'm grateful for WW to get their hands on this and you, Etvolare to translate this story. Will we get any romance or if yes, will it be harem or only single FMC (which I honestly hope for). I'll also like to add, since you are from Taiwan, what led you to translate CN into ENG, and how did you find WW? And did you find any difficulties while translating that you needed to bash your head to overcome any terms or sentences? Moving on, what's your favorite Western show or movie and Chinese tv or movie, do you read classic wuxia stories from renowned authors like Gu Long, Wang Dulu or Jin Yong? Any recommendation, be it movies or dramas or TV shows or books? Anyway, thanks for your time! PS: Tell a joke (compulsory)
  3. Hello there. As far as I know Wuxiaworld only publish translated Chinese and Korean novels which are officially licensed. If you want to publish a story, assuming that it's written in English rather than Mandarin, you should try heading to Webnovel.com. They both publish translated novels and let others self-publish their works as web serials. They are a subsidiary of Qidian. Any other website I know such as Royalroad is pure English fantasy which doesn't help you to reach your intended audience. And if its written in Mandarin try contacting the staff, maybe they can make an exception.

  5. I seem to have read author's work before; I mean the manhwa version. I manhwa, novel in question is The Knight King Who Returned with a God. Decent plot wise. Nothing too special nothing too bad.
  6. Why not try novels from classic wuxia writers like Gu Long, Wang Dulu, Jin Yong. These three are prominent and many of their works have been officially translated (books) and made into TV dramas like Hidden Dragon Crouching Tiger by Wang Dulu, Demi-Gods, Semi-Devils and The Smiling, Proud Wanderer and The Return of the Condor Heroes from Jin Young. Honestly, there are many works that are both officially translated and made into TV drama, for more reference check WuxiaSociety – English translations of epic wuxia novels. They have some information about official translations and where you can buy them, plus in-house unofficial translations by wuxia fans. Most of the popular novels turned popular TV dramas having official English translation are far and few between. And sometimes these official translations are abridged, making them slightly different than what the author intended to write. Select and see what works and what don't. Another one I'd like to mention would be Nirvana in Fire, but I have no idea if it had gotten any official translation since what I've read is fan translation. Hope you find this comment helpful, and best of luck for your work.
  7. You need some serious brains and patience to read MTL. You people scare me.
  8. Tell us your story about your Chinese learning and trannslation journey, and how do you translate stuff from Chinese to English. Did you ever found translating hard? What's your favorite novel, and tell one joke.
  9. Let's start by me, my top English books would be: 1) Middle Eart Universe 2) Dune 3) To Kill a Mockingbird 4) Mistborn 5) Stormlight Archive 6) Earthsea (I loved Howl's Moving Castle, so I thought to give it a try, tho' not as good as the movie it's still one of the best from the big shelf I've got) Share your top ones!
  10. Chinese Title: 夜的命名术 English Title: Night’s Nomenclature Link: Qidian I quit remember reading this title a year ago. At that time, it was being translated by a fan translation group since Web Novel at that time only translated 40 chapters and dropped it. I read at least around 90 chapters and put a hold on because fan translation in terms of publication is unreliable if it isn’t being done by any diligent group that has a translator as a backbone or that translator & editor wants to work on. Since than it’s been around a year, I was surfing the internet to look for any good titles and stumbled upon this long-lost relic, got to know that the group that worked on it has since stopped releasing any new chapters, stopping at around 200 or so. Novel Updates’ review gave it 4.6 rating, my own would be 8/10. This one isn’t a xianxia but an urban sci-fi mystery-comedy xuanhuan. Set in a modern like setting and the genres are more like an amalgamation of all genres like Invaders of Rokujima!? Japanese Light Novel. Right, this novel is completed with around 1000 chapters, no more than 1100 chapters. I have more to say about the plot, but it would be best to see the reviews by NU since they gave a full long review. I assume many of us has looked at it on NU or read it because of its rating. I’ll leave the links to Web Novel’s page and NU’s page for cross reference. Web Novel: Web Novel Novel Updates: NU
  11. It'll take more than couple of days haha, it's big, I mean too big.
  12. Chinese and a bit of Korean. Have read many novels from YA to adults. English or western ones and Japanese gotta be my highest. Niche stuff like D-Genesis is my cup of tea. Read Chinese because of Jin Yong and Wang Dulu (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, read most of his wuxia romance novels in English, somebody translated it into English. It's on par with official translations.) and drama like Nirvana in Fire. All in all, I read a lot.
  13. For me would be Grandmaster Strategist. Not always you would go for plot but sometimes prose tho' plot comes with writing, hehe. For me this was the case, after reading most of the few top novels much as Martial World and such and not having enough I started to feel burn up and got up to do my works, but ya see, sometimes I would end up being given some times and I would skim though Book Walker or Bakatsuki or other Japanese novels since finding licensed CN works are hard and I've already read mostly of the good content on Web Novel. I've also read many English YA and Adult novels, but they didn't click with me that much still I loved most of them. But Grandmaster Strategist was different, it felt, like I'm reading something premium. The prose is just God damn good plus it's historical, so I got to learn many things from it. The plot flowed smoothly and it's just that I love political maneuvering, so it was a good match. I still love the times whenever I would wait to get my free times so I could read a chapter or two since each chapter were so big. Give it a try.
  14. They'll continue series that are utter garbage that even the web novel's readers and its communities' mock but will not continue that are well received by the community because these genres are the starting point of any reader, and they are willing to pay for it while newer genre or ideas are mostly hard received because they aren't the majority like xianxia or xuanhuan. Only those who've spent times with the community or have read enough will know how their first choices are utter garbage for them now. I still wonder what caused me to read Martial Peak in which the same shit repeats itself for who knows how much volumes that it's even feels laughable. Veterans are few to begin with. It's good that WW is bringing new genres and ideas that help alleviate the negative feedback of Chinese WN.
  15. Chinese Title: 灵境行者 English Title: Spirit Realm Walker Link: Qidian I've read this title on Qidian's Web Novel site. They had translated a total of 40 chapters of it but never continued. I suppose they were doing something like poll for which series to pick, but unfortunately it didn't get to see the light. Even though it’s rating, and average reader review were good and appreciative. I’ll point the reasons why it should be picked, though’ it’s mostly from my perspective, if you found some faults I would appreciate if you corrected me. 1. Qidian’s top series. This series topped Qidian’s popularity or reader (?) index for more than 2 weeks, making it popular enough that it’s enough of a reason to consider it for licensing. 2. No fan translation. I check it on NU and found out that there are no more than only five to six chapters out but it’s been months since anyone did post anything so it’s clear that it’s the best time to pick this up before it’s get picked by any fan translation group. 3. Great story and plot. This series normally has this “system” like thing but it’s more than that. The system doesn’t work as a second hero but it’s only auxiliary that provides information for the given task. It’s more like a mystery system. I will say it, I never liked system novels since it feels like the system is doing all the work and our protagonist is just laying on it’s work but after reading the 40 chapters by WN it felt more like, say D-Genesis (JP), system wise. It’s all to give you task and all. And the majority of support is given not by the system but the supporting characters and they are great, dare I say. 4. Protagonist isn’t over powered (OP). This is enough for most of us to like it as he grows strong but not that crazy strong and it takes it’s time for that. Paced if I say. 5. This is my personal by the way. Our protagonist’s girlfriend is older than him. YES YES YES!!! Oh, and it’s a non-harem. YES YES YES!!!! Though it’s only by these 40 chapters I’ve concluded the things I’ve listed, with the one about girlfriend being taken from Baidu search, it’s like fandom. More chapters would have given a more pronounced take on the story but considering how much the reader on WN loved it, it’s great. I hope the Wuxia World’s administration looks into and consider it if it’s worth licensing. For those wanting to read the official 40 chapters this is the link: Webnovel
  16. I second this. Kingdom's Bloodline is amazing. Great story and character. Sad that WN decided to drop off the translation of such a good novel but continue with crappy ones. Consider this one WW!
