There isn't a practical difference, it's just that Golden Karma can only be acquired by purchasing it, whereas Regular Karma is acquired from the daily check in and from posting comments. Regular Karma will always be spent first, until the balance is no longer enough to unlock the chapter. After that, Golden Karma will be spent. (The two types can't be combined when unlocking a chapter).

That's weird, what happens when you try to unlock it? Could you send a screenshot/screen recording?

It depend which method you used to purchase them. If you used WTU/free Karma, then the ebook won't be available for free. This only applies if you spent at least $10 of paid Karma, or spent at least $10 (USD, not site credit) on BAS' Champion tiers while it was ongoing.

Yeah our servers are in good health, and we haven't had any similar reports. Could you tell us which country you're in? It might be some kind of regional Cloudflare problem.
