Check out the thread I referenced above. I rated novels I have read, in addition to PTO. You can check out the S-ratings and above; A-ratings were good too.

Beyond the Heavens (Er Gen, enough said.) Also check out I Shall Seal The Heavens.
The Nebula's Civilization (I love it so much I became an editor and contributor of its wiki).
Second Coming of Gluttony.
I know I wrote a general novel recommendations list... I shall see if I can find it.

What genres of novels are you interested in?

Hi all
I have created a rough timeline of the events in the novel. Uploaded to the Downloads section of this forum.
Hopefully to the wiki as well, shortly.
Best,
Ken

I gotta swear, I almost wanted to say "Discretion is ill-advised." to throw a spanner in the works. 😛

A good novel for me is one that leaves me tingling with excitement and bated breath for the next chapter to drop.
for me it is just that simple. Wow me and I am yours for the reading.

A bad novel for me is one that incoherent and rambling.
A novel needs to make the kind of sense that the reader can understand. What annoys is when the author try to pull fast ones with far fetched explanations and vague meanings with no tie ins to the plot or characters.
Ramblings that do nothing but regurgitate the same information or conversations over and over again to fill up pages. Word count does not a good story make. You know how bad it truly is when you can skim a page and sum it up in one sentence.
Characters that appear and then go way of the dodo bird to never be seen or heard from again and leave us scratching our poor heads trying to figure out how they tied into the whole thing in the first place.
Rinse and repeat sub plots that leave you asking why the novel did not end 1000 chapters ago.
I am sure I have other points to make and whine about but these came to mind without a second think.
Thanks Meeno!

in my opinion, the most important thing that makes a novel good is prose. i know a lot of people would disagree with me there -- there are plenty of novels with great stories but bad translations, and plenty of people enjoy them enough to power through them anyway, but i personally can't do that. as for novels with good prose and bad storytelling... i don't think they exist. as i see it, poor characterization undermines prose (since it leads to unnatural conversations, which make for bad prose), and good characterization creates a good story, no matter what. good worldbuilding is a nice bonus, since it's much more conducive to characterization, but i don't think it's strictly necessary.
Thanks for replying @megaautist

Genshin Impact
Can be played nearly completely solo (I think), though co-oping with a (limited number of people) can be very useful and fun at times.

Hi. I have noticed VoidfulEyes editing and building the wiki too. Thank you Voidful!
And are you here on the forum too?

Hi @NostalgiaCaptain! I am a fan of WuxiaWorld and post often on the forum.
I am really glad you have approached WuxiaWorld and are writing your own work!! Congrats! It takes a lot of effort.
As RainbowHare pointed out, the admins will be able to help you.
Just one word - I would recommend very very carefully considering your terms before publishing on Webnovel. I have heard that they take the copyright of their authors and pay their authors very little. It is very bad for authors. You could also research other platforms, like Patreon and Ko-fi. You could also look for translators online, if you want to reach an English audience.....
I really hope WuxiaWorld shall at least review your novels to decide if it is willing to publish. (Fingers crossed, @Jing S!)
