  1. I checked out one of the author's other books and it was a wuxia fanfic. This ain't similar, right? Fanfic are problematic to monetize. Perfect World is one of the infamous "awesome in Chinese, not that good Translated" novels. I don't want that to repeat. Could you be more specific? That isn't unique. Like, 7/10 among xianxia and TLed novels have that (otherwise no one would bother translating them). Sorry if I sounded rude, I am starting with using AI to paraphrase and sometimes I mess up. If you took offense to any of my replies, please notify me so that I can change/ edit.
  2. -1 vote. GabSong has a reputation. At first glance, his novels seem gold - plot's well-crafted, story moves at a brisk pace, and the prologue hooks you in. But then, the plot thickens – and not in a good way. You wade through a swamp of drama, watch heroines get benched like second-string quarterbacks, and trudge through bloated story arcs that make you wish for a fast-forward button. And the finale? It's the kind of letdown that makes you wonder if the book was actually a secret ploy to test your patience. All of his books have been translated, and although the quality of the translations varies his rep hasn't changed. TNE was originally a WW exclusive, so its return is appropriate. His latest novel is trending on the KR novel charts, making it commercially viable to feature it on WW. Everything else tho? NOPE.
  3. Unlikely for the ban to be lifted. RI continued for 7 years despite bans and censorship because author didn't care about earning money. Now he does. New novel is gonna be more commercial in style. i.e. he will make efforts to not get banned.
  4. @masterlonaiThis request is offtopic, but Solo Leveling Ragnarok's review chart has 3 negative reviews despite the novel being 75% popularity. Can you have at least 1 positive review displayed on the novel's page? Solo Leveling: Ragnarok | Wuxiaworld
  5. The earlier chapters are quite poorly written, containing numerous setting mistakes. It gets better soon after, but the start is challenging. The novel was TLed earlier on Helscans, but the TL work was sloppy and the novel was removed due to unpopularity. I trust the previous WW translators of Gavinge's novels can do a better job. Yeah, Black Haired Merc would be the best to be added here, but publisher + Alternate History genre lower the chances of it getting TLed. I would like to recommend a even 'better' (even more racist) AH novel written by a CN author, but it will definitely get me banned so can't do it.
  6. Sry for late reply, but pretty sure it was among the legit bad novels. I remember news about author rushing the novel and Wuxiaworld buying license for a dud back when it was first being translated. Actual readers would know more though.
  7. Nope I can't. What language is this novel, who are the publisher, has it been translated already and why would you ask for this novel to be translated? You need to give a minimum explanation at least. This is editor's stated format for writing recommendation, rewrite it in this format:
  8. Recently got a manhwa: The Main Characters That Only I Know – Asura Scans (asuratoon.com)
  9. The novels are actually pretty good, ratings are lowered due to being review-bombed by bots. Above Your Head and DIO (by Park Gun) were review-bombed as well.
  10. Synopsis: Kneel before me! The game I played with my life on the line, “Sanctuary.” Driven by the desire to see an end unseen by anyone else, I dared to touch what should never be touched. -Will you play the cheat version? Every choice comes with consequences. -The 4th round begins. In Sanctuary, a game of reincarnation, a 4th round, never meant to exist, has begun. Stuck without even the option to log out. Living with the bloodline of the world he destroyed, the Dark Sanctuary. But he can do it. Smirk. -Just the same as the cheat version. This is the world I destroyed. But the original of that world was the last cheat version I played. From Saint, Demon, to Prince, all their powers in my hands, I will clear the final round. Novelupdates Link: The Successor of the Underworld is a Cheat Player - Novel Updates Why Translate?: GaVinGi is the writer of The Player Who Can't Level Up and From Today, I'm A Player, both popular & complete novels with manhwa adaptations on Wuxiaworld. This is his ongoing novel. It has a lot of potential.
  11. This novel outclassed IET's ongoing novel (Cosmic Professional Gladiator) on CN ranking charts when it was ongoing, that's the tea I've heard. Why?
  12. Trapped in the Tower has more comedy, deeper focus on Tower Climbing and MC's guild and friends are based AF. Climbing the Tower that even the Regressor Couldn't, well I don't like the SUBVERSION and single-heroine romance. Still it does have good setup, worldbuilding and author can write decently if he wants to.
  13. Almost every Alternate History genre novel has either MC go hyper racist, the historical characters start acting like idiots or the novel's writing is just boring. Even the rarely well-written novels take place in settings that I don't care about (Eg. Ancient Greece). This novel is well-written and takes place pre-American Civil War, so that's why I recommended it.
  14. Wouldn't really recommend this novel tbh. Manhwa makes the novel more readable, novel is kinda generic - basically Tutorial is Too Hard without the timejumps. There are other Tower Climbers with manhwa that I would recommend for picking up. Absolute Necromancer, Trapped in the Tower and Climbing the Tower that even the Regressor Couldn't are better IMO.
  15. Actually one of the reasons I recommended this novel for translation is due to the relative lack of racism. I am not joking, this genre is called 'Alternate History' and since it deals with MC being inserted into actual historical background, there are always complaints of racism. This novel takes place in Wild West Gold Rush age, pre US Civil War so the parties who are going to conflict are well known to everyone who studied American history in school. White American Settlers, Black Afro-Americans, Native Americans, other immigrants... As synopsis said, it is a chaotic era where morality and basic decency go to hell. The MC doesn't support slavery, doesn't want to ruin America and has normal modern sensibilities. Trust me, that's rare even in English novels of this genre. TBH, if there is no racism then I would be recommending a shit novel. The racism is a historical truth, Afro-Americans were slaves and the abolishment of Slavery was the reason for US Civil War to take place. This is one of the good Alternate History novels due to the historical accuracy.
  16. Novelupdates Link: Applied Immortality - Novel Updates CN Raw Link: https://book.qidian.com/info/3406500/ Synopsis: Why is the book Evolution Chart related to the theory of evolution? What is the relationship between the Ethereal Cloud Sword and the probability density? How did cultivators build atomic bombs? How did quantum mechanics appear in a cultivation world? Why were the ancient supreme experts and the modern ring grandpa labeled as being misguided and useless? What is the connection between Quantum Grandmaster, Daoist Proscribe, and Supreme Lord with the great scientists Bohr, Heisenberg, and Einstein? Let us follow the host, no, the protagonist Wang Qi, entering a world like never before and explore the secrets of scientific cultivation. Premise TLDR: MC transmigrates to a world where the traditional xianxia cultivation system has been overhauled with a more scientific system - Bohr, Heisenberg, and Einstein are Dao Ancestor-level cultivators. Title is inspired from the popular CN science documentary show, Approaching Science. Approaching Science - Wikipedia Novel's pros - Unique premise, interesting cultivation system, smart MC, characters and setting Novel's cons - Translator needs background in science, novel requires lots of author's notes, quite slow paced P.S. - The novel is the only 'bringing science to cultivation' genre novel that got popular in China, AFAIK. The first 3 chapters are very love-it-or-hate-it --- if you get hooked, you are in for the long haul. If not, you quickly know this isn't your jam. If you check the link, you'll notice that despite having some chapters translated by a non-MTL translator, it didn't get many comments/ reviews. For this novel to be appealing to casual readers, explanatory notes are necessary and TL has to pay attention to Dao names as well.
  17. Somewhat sad fact: the absolute best novels of the Infinite Flow genre can't be picked up by WW. Reincarnation Paradise's first half is anime fanfic. That makes it a difficult proposal, especially because the anime fanfic parts are considered filler - the novel's best parts consist of original worlds. Meanwhile, Thriller Paradise is available on Webnovel with 600 chapters of human translation and rest being 2020 garbage MTL. Difficult to obtain.
  18. Original Link: https://www.qidian.com/book/1024194308/ Tags: System, Multiple Worlds, Cold Hearted MC, No Romance, Suspense, Horror, Sci-Fi Synopsis: Players are welcome to the Dimensional Rift Game's special train. This train will depart from the E-level station and head to the D-level station. Please ensure your safety and board the train in an orderly manner. Please also abide by the following passenger rules: Please do not bring any non-game items onto the train. (Underwear and clothing are exceptions.) You must purchase something on the train. (The train staff are all unpaid volunteers.) Please do not turn on the lights after the lights are turned off. (Skilled and brave ones are exceptions.) In addition, the train encourages various leisure activities such as sneak attacks, fighting, and hunting. Players are free to choose. Why translate?: Infinity Genre is a CN webnovel genre launched by Terror Infinity which is available to read on WW. After reading the novel, you should have a idea of what 'Infinity Genre' means - due to a System controlling the 'game', no matter how strong the MC becomes the level of difficulty is constantly high. There is always a chance of characters getting dying. Most of the novels of this genre include fanfiction settings - Players Please Board the Train isn't one of them. This novel has zero fanfiction settings. More than 2000+ chapters are available to read. The first arc heavily leans to 'suspense' genre due to having a long series of 'Spot the Imposter' themed games, but after 500 or so chapters it becomes a proper 'sci-fi' genre novel. The MC's personality, characterization and intelligence is top-notch and makes the novel an enjoyable read. I highly recommend this novel for translation.
  19. Over the years, MTL translation quality has risen by a lot. DeepL itself can output nearly human-quality translation. And Deepl is just the start, there are engines which are specialized for webnovels.
  20. Novelupdates: https://www.novelupdates.com/series/deicide-learning-in-a-psychiatric-hospital/ Synopsis: Has it ever crossed your mind? There are monsters from ancient mythology lurking within brightly lit metropolises. Has it ever crossed your mind? There are gods watching over us on the moon over our heads. Has it ever crossed your mind? There are transcendent humans roaming the streets in bustling cities as gods’ apostles. Within human societies, there hide countless supernatural beings lurking. The ancient gods reside in Forbidden Zones untouched by humans. Archangel Michael, the Underworld King — Hades, the God of the Sea — Poseidon But, where did the Chinese deities go? In the mortal world, all “divinities” have to be purged. Why translate?: Really popular in China. Publisher is Fanqie.
  21. I don't know, this novel was listed on Ridibooks so I posted it here. Didn't know it was NAVER. Seem Naver has most of the mainstream KR webnovels, like Qidian has mainstream CN novels.
  22. Synopsis: 7 years as a South Korean special forces soldier, 7 years as a mercenary for hire. And he was reborn in the Wild West era. “Why are Koreans here?” Wild West. Gold rush. Cowboys. Outlaws. This is the chaotic West full of romance. Texas, USA in the mid-19th century. [No Status Window / Slavery Issue / Civil War / Pinkerton / Buffalo Bill Cody / Billy the Kid / Rockefeller Gilded Age] Why Translate? : This author's writing is very good. Also the subject is common knowledge for most readers. So it will be good to have it translated here. 603 chapters in RAWs, long chapters.
  23. Won't spoil coz most of your questions have been answered in the TLed chapters. MC returns to his family in ch. 113.
  24. I thought since two of his complete novels are already on WW so obtaining ongoing one would be easier, RIP.
