Exempt
Description: I, Kang Woojin, was quitting my design work and became a jobless person. The next day, my friend took me to auditions and I was forced to perform. As i was given a script, the void space appeared in my mind and forced me to relive the character. I got stabbed. Became a serial killer. Became an Exorcist. As I become an actor, the misunderstandings keeps growing day by day. 480 Chapters (Completed) 2023 by 장탄 . Original Publisher is Munpia. There is also a manhwa of this that is about 25-30 chapters so far. Looks like a fun read, and is nice to have a different genre to throw in occasionally from the more common offerings we read on WW.

I think the best part of this story so far (from reading it's manhwa) is that he gets shy/nervous and puts on this serious front, that everyone else just thinks makes him look cold and mysterious. He doesn't have a way to explain things about his past or how hes able to do what he does, so he is vague yet people think its a trauma or that he was over seas and just assume stuff. The way it is shown is pretty comedic and I'm looking forward to how they describe it in the novel. So I'm hoping if they can get the rights for it, the translator is able to get the same feel that the manhwa did. 😁
Exempt
Are we allowed to post a link to the manhwa so that people can read some of the chapters to see what they think? Honestly that's how I got in to even reading on WW. I was reading a manga, and got to the end and couldn't wait to know what happened next. So I looked for the novel and found it on a site called WW heh. Been reading like crazy ever since.
masterlonai
Sounds interesting to me. Is this one of those 'misunderstanding' novel popular in Japan? I can’t quite picture it, but I’ll have to give it a read. Thanks for the recommendation!

I would give it a try if WW picks this.

'The player hides his past' is full of misunderstandings and is very entertaining and a fun read but it's unfortunately a Naver novel so I can't recommend it here.
Freedom01
What's the quality of its translation at woopread? I haven't read any of their novel yet.

Dunno, but it's not licensed and isn't supporting the author in any meaningful way. I'm still looking forward to some people checking out the manhwa and letting me know what you think. It is only 27 chapters so far, but enough to kind of get the feel for it. @rkumar18 lemme know what you think also since I seem to see you reply here with me a decent amount 😁

I'm a bit busy next two days so I will probably read it till Saturday.
rkumar18
I read the manhwa and found it entertaining but can't say it's great. At best I think it's 7/10.
freewheeler
Manhwa are usually inferior to the novel. Of course, there are exceptions. I like the novel cover and the description sounds interesting enough.
rkumar18
Yeah, actually I think the manhwa isn't adapting this novel properly. In some scenes it seems they just cut the scenes. All the acting part doesn't feel as great as the characters in the story are making it out to be.
Exempt
Yeah, I've read a few other stories sorta like this on WW, where there's either a writer or actor or ex-god who has lived 999 lifetimes to become an actor. They are all pretty enjoyable, probably because of the different stories within it or just see how they bring to life the different characters and the reactions of the people around them. This one looked like it had promise from the manhwa, but I'm guessing the novel version will be better. Wonder if @masterlonaihas had a chance to read through some of it yet. 😉
Afaromay
There are many great novels in this genre with better quality than this one, so I hope we make the most of our opportunity by licensing only the best ones.
Afaromay
Maybe @stellartranslations could suggest a few top recommendations in this genre for us
