AWE Ending

Hi guys.  I know I'm behind, but I just finished AWE and wanted to clear up a bit of uncertainty about the ending.

If it wasn't obvious, SPOILERS ahead if you haven't finished AWE.

So when BXC is in the river of time picking an eternal flower, he essentially has two choices:  Go back and do it all over, or go to the end.

In the "go to the end" choice, there is a chapter that shows that option.  In that chapter, Du Lingfei decides to forgo BXC and essentially become a nun.
However, in the Epilogue, Du Lingfei is mentioned as one of his daoist partners.

Wouldn't that mean he chose the first option, to go back and do it all over again?  Any thoughts or something I missed?

Thanks!

  • Yeeee boi, most probably or she could have reconsidered.
  • What? When was she chosen as one of his partners? "It was exacerbated by the fact that Song Junwan, Zhou Zimo, Hou Xiaomei and Gongsun Wan’er were very strict with him. " It is never mentioned that Du Lingfei is one of his Dao Companions in the epilogue. Can you point me to the exact point you read she is one of his Dao Partners?

I legit used ctrl f and typed her name and she did not pop up anywhere.

You sure you read on Wuxiaworld.com and not from a pirate site?
    Anyway
That was just his personality. It was exacerbated by the fact that Song Junwan, Zhou Zimo, Hou Xiaomei, Gongsun Wan’er and Du Lingfei were very strict with him. It eventually reached the point where he bristled with anger….
