Primordial Chaos Universe Layout.

If there are 9 Primordial Chaos Universes, each filled with a lot of naturally born Universes, and Artificially created Universes, both of which are rather like galaxies instead of Universes.

And these 9 Primordial Chaos Universes are the remains of some dead guy.

Doesn't that mean that the people reaching what they think is peak level at the end of the series are not really the strongest possible beings? Especially if killing them doesn't leave behind 9 more PCUs.

Or does Ji Ning at some point realize that he could become stronger and do some weird meditation thing to become way stronger, kinda like what Meng Hao did at the end of his "final boss" fight.

  • Probably not possible to become stronger than Universe Controller in current times, at least IET didn't write anything about it. Probably in the past there was some method.

Ning doesn't become stronger, becomes Omega Dao Supreme Sovereign then Universe Controller then the novel ends.

  • here is how the scaling goes from greatest to least:
Chaos universe -> domain boundaries -> alternate universes (made by supreme sovereigns) -> territories (just a collection of chaosworlds, usually in power of some strong organization)-> everworlds (made by eternal emperors) -> chaosworlds (like the 3 realms)
  • If i remember 9 universe is not a remains of a dead guy. It's originally a one huge universe, then a huge battle happened there destroying that universe to fragments thus forming the known 9 true universe.

Yeah IET did not explain anything about the realms of those people who are fighting on that huge universe. Probably because ji ning is very satisfied now that he can resurrect pretty much anyone he knows that he don't care about getting stronger anymore. :)
  • Hmm, these are great explanations. The ending seems kind of unsatisfying after reading ISSTH though, if only because it would have been cool if Ning unified all 9 and became a cultivation level higher than the Sith Ruler dude, effectively 2 levels higher than anyone else, and realized that there were other Multiverse type Megaverses around, that way the end could have him taking his family out to explore other Primordial Chaos Universes and such.

    Big ending spoiler incoming:

    Spoiler:
The 9 primordial chaos universes were born from a single land mass which existed in the past. The war which took place there was fought between a LOT(about 120) of omega/ultimate supreme sovereigns and the will of that landmass. The will of the landmass didn't really have a cultivation but had a power similar to a UC (it could control everything inside itself basically), it also controlled the strongest cultivators with a seal. One day an ultimate supreme sovereign in the dao of seals cracked open the seal, he secretly freed the others ultimate SS and a huge rebellion ensued, the war destroyed the original landmass and the 9 primordial chaos universes were born. The last cultivation level is ultimate supreme sovereign but it is implied that UCs which own a stronger primordial universe are more powerful. In the last chapter Ning meets the Sith UC, they talk a bit, Sith guy tries to befriend Ning, Ning doesn't like him a lot (after the sith invasion). In the end it turns out that the sith guy is from the original landmass, he survived its destruction by means of a treasure, he is hiding from Ning a 10th primordial chaos universe which has a lot of potential (the author never goes too much into details about this potential, he only says that it is similar to how 3 realms was full of talented people, being a backwater place, etc...). Ning destroys this 10th universe (which was still developing by the way) because he feared it would become a threat for his own primordial universe. Before that a small fight takes place with the sith UC who was trying to stop Ning from destroying the 10th universe.
  • Universe controller isn’t cultivation level. It’s guaranteed that first omega SS will become UC and conversely people who come after him will never get there.

So omega SS is the last cultivation level as far as ranking is concerned

Technically, the manifestation of old Super Universe is higher in power as it took hundred of Ultimate SS to take him down with none of them survive the fight (one was revived later but he did die there)

Yes but it's not a cultivation level.
